There’s a reason Cleveland was once known as the “Factory of Sorrows.” The Browns have arguably lost more games than any other team in NFL history, and in just 85 seconds he blew a 30-17 lead over the New York Jets for Sunday’s heartbreaking total. he added one more.

With 1:55 left on Sunday, Nick Chubb scored a touchdown to put the Browns up 30-17 and it looked like Cleveland was on the verge of winning, but when we’re talking about the Browns, it seems like such Nothing. To victory by inertia.

In a surprising turn of events, the Jets scored two touchdowns just 60 seconds apart in a 31-30 win. If you’re wondering how unlikely a loss is, here’s your answer.

For the most part, the Browns played an impressive game, but were unable to overcome six critical mistakes in the final two minutes.

The biggest one came from Chubb, who could have sealed the win had he simply fallen to the ground instead of scoring a TD with 1:55 remaining. Had he done that, the game would have been over as this run gave Cleveland a first down and the Jets had zero timeouts left.

We’ve seen running backs down at the 1-yard line before, but Chubb didn’t do it here. Even if he went out of bounds, the Browns could have taken his third straight win on his knees.

Chubb’s gaffe wasn’t the only big mistake the Browns made. The Browns’ hero of the week, Cade York, wasn’t the hero of the week. The Browns should have had 31 points at the end of the game, but York missed the extra point following Chubb’s touchdown. helped open the door to their comeback.

York and Chubb’s mistakes wouldn’t have mattered if the Browns defense hadn’t given up long touchdowns. This leads to error 3.

(Note: Ignore the NFL information in the tweet. It was a score of 66 yards instead of 76. )

Even after Joe Flacco scored for Davis with 1:22 left to cut Cleveland’s lead to 30-24, the Browns were still able to recover the Jets’ onside kick to seal the win, but instead gave 4-1. I made my number one mistake. Onside the Jets on his kick, the ball bounced out of Amari Cooper’s hand and into the hands of New York’s Justin Hardy.

Nine plays after recovery, the Jets scored a go-ahead touchdown on a 15-yard pass from Flacco to Garrett Wilson (giving up a TD was a mistake #5).

Even after falling behind, the Browns still had a chance to win. With six seconds left, the Browns put him up for 46 yards, needing roughly eight to 10 yards to give Yorke a realistic shot to score a field goal. However, York had no chance of winning the game as Jacoby Brissett threw an interception on a miss six.

It was a complete meltdown of the game that didn’t leave the Browns out of business. Their ‘F-‘ performance in his last two minutes completely overshadowed the fact that they actually played pretty good football for the better part of three quarters.
