NFL Odds Week 3: How to bet on the Bengals-Jets

Albert

Week 3 of 2002, AFC North will face AFC East. NFL Season.

The Cincinnati Bengals will travel to the Empire State to face the New York Jets at MetLife Stadium on Sunday at 1pm.

The Bengals are winless after two games, including last week’s loss to the Dallas Cowboys without Dak Prescott. Joe Burrow & Co. looked like a spurt, but offensively his line was riddled with holes, allowing him 13 sacks in two games. Everyone loves their new “Broadway Joe” swag, but the Bengals need to protect their quarterback if they want to have a chance this season.

The Jets come into the game with a positive outlook after dispatching the Cleveland Browns in Week 2 for their first win of the season. Joe Flacco was sporadic, but rookies Garrett Wilson and Sauce Gardner exceeded expectations with big plays early on. If the young guys keep playing strong, these Jets may have something special in store for the near future.

FOX SPORTS BETTING ANALYST’S CHOICE Jason McIntyre:

The game is a rematch of last year’s 34-31 win on Halloween when the Jets rode third-string QB Mike White. White recorded his 405 passing yards and his three TDs, including his two in the final five minutes. From a gambling standpoint, the Jets outright won as his 11.5 point underdog!

Cincinnati couldn’t defend Joe Burrow (again), he absorbed 13 sacks in two games, and their tackles were abused by TJ Watt and Myka Parsons. had zero explosive plays (over 20 yards). But the Jet doesn’t have that quality edge rusher. Manager Robert Saleh needs to dial up the Blitz as his four up front can’t take much pressure (he’s 30th in pressure percentage). That’s his one big matchup to watch in this game.

The Bengals have finished in double digits in the first half of their last four games going back to last year’s playoffs. Ultimately, Cincinnati will wrap it up… right? That’s a discussion for another day.

The Jets’ safety was abysmal, roasting with three deep scores against Lamar Jackson in Week 1. The Bengals are facing his two bad QBs (Cooper Rush and Mitchell Trubisky) and now face Joe Flacco. The Jets’ rookie skill game feels like it has shootout potential as his player made a huge leap from his first week to his second.

The total has already increased from 43 to 45. You missed the best number, but 45 and above are selected.

Choose: Score 45 points or more in total for both teams in FOX Bet (when picked)
