Thursday Chamber Event: The Youngstown/Warren Regional Chamber of Commerce hosts Good Morning, Trumbull. Thursdays from 7:30am to 9:00am at The Grand Pavilion, 9519 E. Market St., Warren.

The cost is $25 per member and $35 per non-member.

The keynote speaker will be Patti Zullo, Senior Director of Smart City Solutions at Spectrum and Charter Communications. Foxconn North America Vice President of Operations Rick Rajaie and Trumbull County Commissioner Frank Fuda will also be speaking.

YSU Recognizes Alumni: Youngstown State University’s Warren P. Williamson School of Management will present its 2022 Alumni Awards at a reception on campus at Williamson Hall on October 14.

The winner is Sue Stricklin, Senior Vice President of Marketing for Simon Roofing. Henry Gomez, senior political reporter for NBC News. Eric Pittman, Program Division Director, US Food and Drug Administration. Corey Patrick, Director of the Entrepreneurial Services Program at Youngstown Business Incubator.

VEC AWARDS SCHOLARSHIPS: Electrical and general contractor VEC Inc. of Girard has announced its 2022 scholarship winners. All local students are Evan Davies, Lauren Meadows and Haley Protiva. Each receives a $500 scholarship.

Davis plans to attend Ohio University and major in finance. Meadows plans to major in Choral Music Education at Ohio State University, and Protiva plans to major in Nursing at the University of Tampa.

Ribbon Cutting Set: QUICKmed Urgent Care will hold a ribbon cutting ceremony at noon on Wednesday at its new location at 402 S. Chestnut St. in Ravenna. A local clinic opened last week to provide Ravenna residents with non-life-threatening medical services.

Free health checks for school-aged children are available until October 31st.

QUICKmed was founded in 2018 with its first location in Liberty. Ravenna is his ninth place.

MERIDIAN OPENS NEW OFFICE: Meridian HealthCare opens a new chiropractic office at 2894 Center Road, Poland.

The location is the former clinic of Dr. Christopher Cloutti, known as Back to Health Chiropractic and Massage Therapy, offering chiropractic and acupuncture services. Croutty remains in the office.

Chiropractic treatment and acupuncture services can be used to manage chronic pain, improve mobility/range of motion, and improve overall health.

Meridian has chiropractic offices in Howland and Youngstown.

New Restaurant Opens at EWM: King Cajun Seafood & Bar, the newest addition to the culinary lineup at the Eastwood Mall Complex, celebrated its grand opening on Tuesday with a ribbon-cutting ceremony.

The restaurant is located in a separate location on the east side of the mall complex, next to Steak ‘n Shake. The approximately 10,000-square-foot building previously housed another restaurant.

The space has been completely renovated with a new dining room and full bar. Dishes inspired by the cuisine of Louisiana and the Low Country feature prominently on the menu.

717 Champion: Keri Davis was appointed Assistant Consumer Lending Manager and has been with 717 for six years. In her new role, Davis will work with the Consumer Finance Manager to direct the day-to-day operations of the loan production staff.

FACTOR JOINS POTENTIAL DEVELOPMENT: Potential Development has appointed Lori A. Factor to the newly created position of Communications Director.

Factor brings 30 years of communications, public relations and marketing experience to the organization. Most recently, Youngstown State University Cliff served as Director of Community Engagements and Events for his College and Director of the YSU Summer Festival of the Arts.

Originally from Youngstown, she graduated from YSU in 1985 with a degree in advertising and public relations. She has held positions at the Farmers National Bank, Old Youngstown She Area Chamber of Commerce, and the YSU Alumni Association.

iSynergy promoted from within: Digital marketing agency iSynergy has promoted Jessica Ashcroft to VP of Content. With the addition of this role, Ashcroft will continue to work on expanding the division and helping clients better understand the digital marketing landscape.

She has a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and has been working in the industry for nearly 7 years. She has been with her iSynergy for over 3 years. WEARSCH JOINS FARMERS TRUST: Farmers Trust Company expanded its team with Attorney Meredith A. Wearsch as Assistant Vice President to manage the trust of the company’s business at Boardman.

Wearsch brings experience focused on estate planning, estate and gift tax planning, entity formation and income tax planning. Prior to joining Farmers, he practiced law in Los Angeles and was admitted to practice in California and Florida.

COLEMAN HEALTH ADDS VP: Nicole Martin, a behavioral health clinician in Northeast Ohio, has joined Coleman Health Services as Vice President of Clinical Strategy and Innovation. She started working on September 6th.

Aurora’s Martin was most recently executive director of Lorraine’s Silver Maple Recovery. Before he became an Executive Director, Martin served as Director of External Relations.

Her experience includes facilitating all activities to obtain state licensure, Medicaid enrollment, and Joint Commission accreditation.
